HONOREE - BRENDA SIEGLER

Brenda Siegler has been a part of Pediatric Cancer Foundation since its inception almost fifty years ago. Brenda was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She received her college degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Education with a specialty in speech pathology and audiology. After teaching in Kansas City, in 1965, Brenda married Richard Siegler, of Yonkers, and moved to New York. Brenda then enrolled in classes at NYU Continuing Education focusing on fund raising and grant writing. She remained steadfast in helping children through teaching, her private practice and her significant involvement with PCF. In 1980 Brenda became PCF President. During her tenure the membership and level of support doubled. Brenda and her husband Richard currently split their time between Westchester County and Los Angeles where their daughter Lauren, son-in-law Eric and three grandchildren reside.

SPEAKER - CINDY CAMPBELL

Cindy and her husband, Lou, lost their son, Ty, to a brain tumor at the age of five. In honor of Ty's courageous fight and infectious spirit, Cindy is committed to spreading awareness of cancer's youngest victims. Cindy and Lou founded the Ty Louis Campbell Foundation for childhood cancer research. Cindy currently serves as the Program Director at Weill Cornell Medicine's Children's Brain Tumor Project. Cindy is very active in promoting awareness of childhood cancer in the media and has appeared on such notable programs as The Today Show, Katie Couric, The Doctor's, WNBC-NY and Bloomberg Radio to name a few. Her blog, tylouis.blogspot.com, has generated over six million views. Cindy and Lou live in Pawling, NY with their ten year old son, Gavin, and their two year old son, Bodhi.
